Building a home can be overwhelming with so many details and choices to make. At times nervous and most other times anxious to see our custom designed dream come true one phase at a time. A lot of imagination is needed to visualize all the options and parts coming together. Many times, there were a lot of emotions because of the desire to get it perfect and Michelle's calming demeanor helped us refocus.

Several years ago I walked into my first meeting with Brian and his assistant, Michelle, when I had a client looking to build a custom home. Brian quickly asked what their wants and needs were. Then he did something I’ll never forget. He started saying last names to Michelle who had this huge box of blueprints of homes he had built before. It seemed he knew each house by heart.

The first few weren’t a fit. Then one looked about right. Brian turned to us and said “how’d you like to see it tomorrow?”

Me and my clients looked at each other puzzled before one of us said “we can do that?”

Brian said “yes, the homeowners are great! I’m sure they would let us walk through it.”

And they did. The home was a few years old by then and when we approached the door, they were excited to see us and said they would go for a walk and we could look as long as we wanted.

I found my guy.

Fast forward to today. As I prepared for the biggest project I had undertaken by far, I was in over my head. So I called Brian to ask if he would do me a favor and get our project off the ground until I could take over. He agreed.

All the experts will tell you there is significant stress associated with moving to a new home. So many significant decisions to ponder – where do we move, will our existing house sell, shall we build new or buy existing, and the list goes on and on.

We contemplated all of those decisions for a number of years, making sure we researched all of our possibilities very thoroughly. Once we decided to pursue new construction, we did extensive research, looking for not only a quality builder but also one that we felt comfortable with and one we could trust.

Brian Parent of Parent Builders, Inc. and his team of people made our building experience very enjoyable. A true custom builder, we were able to make our dream home suit our individual family needs. Michelle, our personal contact on Brian’s team, was so enjoyable to work with. She was very personable, reliable and a great communicator.

When our new house was close to completion, Dave, the job supervisor, was able to coordinate with all of his contractors to expedite our closing date by two full weeks in order to accommodate the closing schedule of our existing house. Therefore, we were able to avoid the stress of temporary housing and storage issues.

We have now been in our new home close to three months and only had one follow-up issue that Brian and his team resolved within one day. We are just so very happy with the superior quality of our new home and the entire building experience. We absolutely recommend Brian and his team to build your new home and make it such a positive experience!

Our overall experience was positive. Building a home can be a stressful process, and perhaps the greatest part of our experience with Parent is having a local builder that is willing to follow-up after move-in and stand behind an already great product. We are incredibly happy with our home.

Parent Builders builds a very nice home with premium materials throughout. There is an honest and generous starting point on the build proposal with lots of room in every allowance category. It was awesome going through the various selections and having little to no issue staying at or below what was originally proposed where we wanted to. Parent Builders was also very helpful in providing insights/things to think about on various selections if you've never built a home before (like us). We would recommend them to others.

We built with Parent Builders in 2020, the height of the pandemic, when other builders were slowing down and raising their prices, Brian was straightforward and honest. He held the bid where it was originally and honored every commitment he made. The process from start to finish was amazing, from sitting down and drawing the plans, where he was able to pull multiple blueprints of homes that met our needs, he knew the names of the families for each home and offered us a chance to walk through any of them. Because once you are a part of the Parent Family you want other families to experience the quality work Brian and his team deliver. I will also say that stopping by to see the progress was always fun especially when we saw Brian out there swinging a hammer with the team.
