Foundations to Furniture
Hi Everyone! How does one introduce themselves on the internet? Where should I start? Maybe the beginning is the safest bet.
WHO: My name is Wendy Parent. I am the eyes behind the design and I assist clients with their selections for the homes we build. My husband, Brian Parent, owns & operates Parent Builders, Inc. We’ve been married & setting foundations for a concrete 32 years.
WHAT: Brian is a general contractor and assists families in building their unique, personalized, and beautiful custom homes, decks, basements, etc. Anything you can dream that starts with lumber, we can help you build it.
WHEN: Brian has always had a hunger for the outdoors and had been interested in the building industry since high school. He has always loved getting his hands dirty. He began framing at a young age and went on to start his own company in 1987. A solid 5 years before we brought home our first of 5 children. It all started with one framing crew, which soon grew to two. The business grew from there and later he transitioned to a different role of self employment, owning and operating the business we know today.
WHERE: Brian and I were both born and raised north of the Twin Cities in Anoka and Blaine. Not far from home, Brian and I met in college at University Wisconsin – Stout. I have always loved design and graduated with a major in Interior Design. I haven’t looked back since! Brian studied and received a degree in building & construction management. Brian would drive home on the weekends and frame. That passion and drive is still just as strong as today! After college, we raised our children near where we grew up ourselves. Four of our children graduated from Anoka High School and one graduated from Blaine High School.
WHY: Brian & I love to use our passion to help families build homes they love. We have built a strong reputation and are so grateful for the wonderful customers we work with.
FUN FACT! After building our first model home, we have lived in over 15 homes together!
